I'm tired of non-veg restaurants smothering their veggie option with cheese, and with veggie restaurants that try so hard to be veg(an) they lose the taste! Give me an explosion of chilli, coriander, lemon, dill and I'm happy any day. My hunt for tasty vegan food continues, from five-star restaurants to the falafel van...

I've moved!
Photos were getting tiringly difficult to upload here, so I've moved to Wordpress, with a new name!
This blog isn't just for vegans- it's for anyone interested in good food, eating more veg and finding non-meat options that aren't centered on cheese.
What I look for is good, tasty, fresh food that doesn't skimp on flavour. Since most veggie blogs focus on veggie restaurants, I thought I'd expand the conversation and show what yummy offerings there are throughout London, even in unexpected places! Whether you're dining in a mixed group with veg and non-veg people, just like a particular cuisine done well, or are looking for healthier dishes, non-veg restaurants have some hidden gems.......................
Disclaimer: Every veg(an) person goes to different extents to avoid animal-based food. I was a fairly strict vegan for years in the US (though do eat honey), but knowing that "free range" here actually means out in the pasture, I now eat dairy-based yogurt. I do ask about dairy/eggs/meat/fish in food & sauces, but don't fuss about cross-contamination in kitchens (other than my own). Bon apetit!
